Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Reviews regards plagiarism as a very serious offence. It is an illegal form of copying. Plagiarism is defined as Plagiarism is the “wrongful appropriation” and “stealing and publication” of another author’s “language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions” and the representation of them as one’s own original work.
Examples of Plagiarism:- Copying and pasting from the Internet and posting somewhere else without proper citation
- Submitting someone’s work as their own.
- Taking passages from their own previous work without adding citations.
- Re-writing someone’s work without properly citing sources.
- Using quotations, but not citing the source.
- Interweaving various sources together in the work without citing.
- Citing some, but not all passages that should be cited.
- Melding together cited and uncited sections of the piece.
- Providing proper citations, but failing to change the structure and wording of the borrowed ideas enough.
- Inaccurately citing the source.
- Relying too heavily on other people’s work. Failing to bring original thought into the text.
- Changing the name for another person's work and putting your name for their project.
- Copying paragraphs and sentences from another person’s text.
- Using another person’s photo, diagram, tables, sounds, or ideas without proper citation.
- Presenting research in your own words without providing references.
- Purchasing another person’s text and using it as your own.
- I/We are fully aware that plagiarism is illegal.
- I/We know that plagiarism is the use of another person's ideas, thoughts, or published work and pretending that it is one's own.
- We declare that each contribution to our project from the works of other people, whether published or unpublished, has been acknowledged and properly referenced.
- I/We certify that we are solely responsible for any incomplete references provided in our work.
- I/We refer to the corresponding author and other co-authors of the paper who have communicated for its publication.
